“When it’s been out of sight and out of mind
For such a long time, that’s how one forgets
So I reached in the back of my closet
And pulled it out and tried it on and it still fits…”
-Dressed Up in Love, Jennifer Hudson
Do you remember your dreams when you were a kid? The dreams we had to be firemen, lawyers, doctors, fashion designers, and so on. When did ambition go out of style?
I look often on in awe at some of my closest friends and what their dreams have become.
There was this shy violin player that I knew growing up. We went to the same church, the same performing arts schools, and sang in the same choir. She grew up to become one of the most amazing performing artists ever. You see the confidence of her dreams translate so effortlessly in her personal style. Can your friends do this?
Or what about the amazing photographer that is stepping into the big leagues? A friend of Cold Hard Fash, George Clarence has arrived in the world of fashion and editorial photography. He has been a highly sought after wedding photographer for years, but as of late, really reached new heights in his craft.
I would keep going, but I am going to stop here. I would probably bore you with all of my ramblings. Do me a favor; take inventory of your ambitions. Don’t let your dreams go out of style.
They still fit; most likely, BETTER THAN BEFORE!
I’ll chat with you later 🙂
